What is a fascinator hat?

A fascinator hat is a small headpiece usually mounted on a base, comb or headband worn jauntily to the front or side incorporating a combination of feathers, flowers, coils, curls and other trimmings.

What is sinamay?

Sinamay is a modern form of woven straw used as a basic component in hat making.

How do I care for my fascinator hat?

Hats should be treated carefully, stored in a hatbox away from direct sunlight and extreme cold. Hats should not be worn in the rain or prolonged extreme heat.

What is a Pashmina?

A pashmina is a stole or wrap usually larger than a scarf.

Where does your cashmere come from?

Our cashmere is groomed by hand from our herd of Scottish Cashmere goats which are cared for on our farm in County Durham, England. The goats shed their cashmere naturally each spring when it is harvested. Each goat produces an average of 250 grams of cashmere per year.

How do I care for my pashmina?

Although your pashmina is very wearable, care should be taken when wearing and storing it. Obviously sharp jewellery should not be worn with your stole. Pashminas should not be stored in direct sunlight and when not being worn should be hung in your wardrobe.

I find some fibres irritate my skin. Will cashmere do the same?

Probably not, most people find that they can wear cashmere with no problems due to the softness of the fibres. As our products are 100% cashmere the risk of irritation is less.

Can I choose my own colour and embroidery design?

This is possible. Please call us to discuss your requirements. However, you may have to wait several months for your personalised stole to be handcrafted.
