What is a fascinator hat?
Definitions for fascinators do vary but we consider a fascinator hat to be a headpiece usually mounted on a base, comb or headband worn to the front or side incorporating a combination of feathers, flowers, coils, curls and other trimmings. Fascinator hats can range considerably in size from very large brimmed headpieces to small hair accessories. Larger fascinators can also be called headpieces.
What is sinamay?
Sinamay is a modern form of woven straw used as a basic component in hat making.
How do I care for my fascinator hat?
Hats should be treated carefully, stored in a hatbox away from direct sunlight and extreme cold. Hats should not be worn in the rain or prolonged extreme heat.
